Training to Train

Aims of the group
To develop performance training and competition skills across all events for long term success. To compete in county and Regional competition

Performance requirements

Swimmers should enter county championships local open meets that are circulated by email (see fixtures list). Swimmers who do not compete each term or who do not train at the standard of the group after after an initial period of adjustment will be better supported in AG2.

  2. Luton OM (April)
  3. CMK EOS & Luton F&F

Nutrition

Bring 2-3 litres of fluid each session, have a balanced healthy diet covering increased energy needs.

Behaviours

Swimmers should be developing performance behaviours continuing skill and team awareness

Training Content

Continued skill emphasis with growing low level aerobic content.

Mixed Circuits including core work and injury prevention


Performance requirements
Swimmers should enter county championships local open meets that are circulated by email (see fixtures list). Swimmers who do not compete each term or who do not train at the standard of the group after after an initial period of adjustment will be better supported in AG2.

Additional sessions notes
Swimmers who cannot attend early PM starts will be offered alternatives (Tues PM @ Leon, Thurs @ Leon) if necessary.

Aims of the group
To be technically legal on all 4 strokes and 100m IM and take part in internal time trials


Performance requirements
Swmimers should enter local open meets that are circulated by email (see fixtures list). Swimmers should attend local open meets especially CMK home meets. Performance at those meets will be considered when reviewing further progression.
