Competitions

Junior 1

Swim all 4 strokes with basic technique

Attend all sessions regularly & punctually

Develop Stroke Skills

Hat , goggles, tight fitting training costume

Internal Galas (Level 4)

Start with controlled Push & glide with basic Streamlining

Have all equipment at each session

Develop Starts and Turns

Short Fins, Kick Board, Snorkel

Novice Galas (if selected)

Swim a minimum of 400m continuously

Understand and maintain good lane discipline

Pass ASA competitive Start Award

Drinks bottle

 

Be able to perform a head first dive into deep water

Adhere to club Code of Conduct

Learn to use pace clock

Swim a minimum of 400m continuously with controlled tumble turns

Understand and maintain good lane discipline

Develop Starting Skills including Relay take overs

Passed ASA competitive Award

Swim 400m maintaining 5m streamlining off wall each turn

Have all equipment at each session

Develop efficient  turns including Medley

Short Fins, Kick Board, Snorkel

Novice Galas (if selected)

Swim 200m Medley under ASA Law

Understand and maintain good lane discipline

Develop starting skills including relay take overs
