Performance Squad 1

 

Performance Squad Swimmers will be training full time with the Head Coach.

Aims –

  • High Level Domestic success.
  • To develop the disciplined physiological and psychological skills necessary to train and perform at this level.
  • To play a mentorship role to the younger swimmers coming through the club.

Criteria –

  • Total commitment to training, and an ability to maintain a minimum of 90% attendance.
  • Swimmers will be 13+ in the year of competition and capable of achieving Regional Final/British National/Home Nations /British Championship standard.
  • Selected by Head Coach based on attitude, discipline, long-term potential and competition performance.

Competitions –

  • British Championships / Nationals
  • Counties / Regionals
  • High Level Open Meets
  • Team Competitions, e.g. ARENA League

Training –

  • Swimmers will show dedication to improving their swimming skills, to include starts, turns, finishes, underwater, breakouts and efficiency.
  • Swimmers will be able to complete a 200m timed kick in under 3 minutes.
 
 

Training Criteria

  • Swim – 6 Sessions per week (Roughly 30-35km per week)
  • Gym – 2 Sessions per week (Invite Only when suitable)

    • British Age Championships                                (23th – 29th July) 2018
    • British Home Nations                                          (30th – 5th Aug) 2018
