4. Push & glide on the back with arms extended and log roll onto the front

 

 

 

5. Travel on the front, tuck to rotate around the horizontal axis to return on the back

 

6.  Perform a tuck float for 5 seconds

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

7. Travel 10 m on the back with efficient kick

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

8. Travel 10 m on the front with efficient kick

4. Travel on front and log roll in one continuous move on to back

1. Give two examples of how to prepare for exercise and understand why it is important

 

2. Sink, push off on side from the wall, glide, kick and rotate to backstroke

         

3. Sink, push off on side from the wall, glide, kick and rotate to front crawl

         

4. Perform a surface dive

                     

5. Perform a handstand and hold for a minimum of three seconds

           

6. Perform a forward somersault

                     

7. Perform 25m of backstroke, front crawl and breaststroke with appropriate start and finish

8. Swim Butterfly to include at least three rhythmical breaths followed by 10 metres Butterfly Drills

9. Swim 10 metres wearing clothes

                     

10. perform a 'shout and signal' rescue

 

 

At the end of the stage 7 participants will be able to:

6. perform frontcrawl start, with underwater kick in  streamlined position and complete 50m with legal finish

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

7. perform butterfly start, with underwater fly kick until a minimum of 5m from the start point and perform at least 5 legal strokes breathing every 1 or 2 strokes

 

8. perform breakstroke start, with legal under water action, transfer into stroke and complete 50m with legal finish

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

9. Swim 100m continuously- can use a variety of strokes
