Trials from Swimming Lessons
We take children into the club's Bronze Academy. This is an integrated program in conjunction with the Aquazone Lessons at Hengrove Park Leisure Centre. The purpose of Bronze Academy is to encourage swimmers to continue in their learn-to-swim program, whilst getting a taste of club swimming and benefiting from additional time in the water in a club environment. The Academy is always on the look out for new swimmers. Selection is made by City of Bristol Aquatics Coaching Staff and ideally we are looking 5 to 9 year olds.
For more information please email our Lead Coach Sue Sharley.

Please be aware that demand for trials is high and you may not be invited to the next scheduled trial, you may be given a date in the future.
For more information please email our Assistant Head Coach Marc Williams.
Performance Age/Youth/Senior Trials
If you are already an experienced swimmer, have Regional or National qualifications times and would like to commit to a 12-20hr per week performance programme (including early mornings) we have a squad for you. Please be aware that demand for trials is high and you may not be invited to the next scheduled trial, you may be given a date in the future.
For more information please email our Head Coach Matt Puddy.
You may be aware now that the 3 swimming clubs that operate from Hengrove Park Leisure Centre, City of Bristol, Bishopsworth and Bristol Central have merged. They are now operating as a 'One Club Model' which has led to some available pool time to accommodate a Masters only squad. To help us gauge the number of lanes needed over how many nights, you are asked to register your interest ASAP. Please spread the word.

Para Swimming Trials
City of Bristol Aquatics has a vision of making competitive swimming accessible to any individual with either a physical or learning disability who wishes to train or compete, offering a truly inclusive approach for everyone. Our swimmers are encouraged to follow the ASA Para Swimming Athlete Pathway and will be encouraged to swim within the mainstream areas of the club wherever applicable. City of Bristol's only Para Squad operates once a week and is aimed at any person with either a learning or physical disability aged 8 upwards, able to swim a minimum of 25m and be comfortable in deep water. The squad currently trains Sunday's 4.00-5.00pm at Hengrove Park Leisure Centre, Bristol.
If you are interested in joining please email our Para Squad Director Lou Johnson.
Synchronised Swimming Trials
Book a place on one of our starter courses! We run twelve-week starter sessions throughout the year. Sundays at University of Bristol Swimming Pool and Thursdays at Hengrove Park Leisure Centre. Swimmers will try all aspects of the basic skills required for Synchronised Swimming. These sessions are great fun and we need confident swimmers (girls and boys) between the ages of 7-11 who are able to swim frontcrawl, backstroke and breaststroke. Good flexibility is important in Synchro so if you have experience in ballet or gymnastics this will help, but it is not essential.
For more information please email our Development Coach Maria Shortman.
If you would like more information, have a child that is interested or would like to play for our Senior Men's team please contact our Waterpolo Chairman John Sissons.
