The club would not be able to exist without the help and support of the parent volunteers, who train as officials. These people give up their time throughout the swimming season, to help the club at various competitions and galas, which, most importantly, helps the swimmers.
There are many officials roles that need filling, from starting out as a timekeeper, all the way through to becoming a trained referee.
FOR ANYONE LOOKING TO SUPPORT THE CLUB AND BECOME AN OFFICIAL, IN THE FIRST INSTANCE, PLEASE CONTACT FIONA BRITTAIN (DO NOT BOOK YOURSELF ON TO A COURSE):
Fiona Brittain: firstname.lastname@example.org
We regularly offer training opportunities for new officials and team managers and are happy to locate courses for potential parent officials to go on, in order to get trained up for specific roles. All course costs will be covered by the club - this includes ASA Category 3 membership for parent helpers as and when required.
