Development Pathway for a Synchronised Swimmer

The sport of Synchronised Swimming has different development pathways depending on whether a swimmer chooses to be recreational or competitive. Whatever direction is chosen, synchronised swimming provides an opportunity to improve water skills, to get fit and to be creative.  Examples of different pathways are given below:

Aquafun classes promote confidence in the water at the same time as developing basic swimming and synchronised swimming skills. This is where most swimmers who are just starting out in synchronised swimming would begin their journey.  Aquafun students are given the opportunity to work towards Aquavision Aquafun /Pre Synchronised swimming Awards and would compete in the Interclub Recreational Novice Figure Competition once a year. Like all other swimmers in Aquavision they are given the chance to perform in club displays.  Aquafun sessions usually run once or twice a week.
