Burnley Bobcats Swimming Club is a fully inclusive community swimming club. We are Swim England and Swim Mark Essential Club accredited with Disability Hub Club status. We aim to develop swimmers at every level from novice to national champion and beyond. With a proven swimming tuition and training programme, combined with flexible swimming development pathways, our qualified coaching team aims to support the development of all our swimmers whether they have non-competitive or competitive goals.

Starting out on your swimming journey? We take children of all abilities starting in our Pre-Competitive Swim Academy from the age of 4 years.

Throughout the week our competitively priced swimming lessons and training sessions are held at Padiham Leisure Centre, Padiham and St Peter’s Leisure Centre, Burnley.

The Club offers a smooth transition into the performance development squad for talented swimmers with competitive swimming aspirations. Lead by our head coach Ian Spencer, Bobcat swimmers have succeeded at all levels of competition from County, Regional, National and onto British standard and the Club is consistently represented in the top 30 British Swimmer rankings across a variety of age groups.

We are always happy to hear from swimmers looking to either join our competitive or learn to swim squads.  We will look to arrange a time for you to come down to the club to meet up with one of the coaching team and have an initial assessment.

Regardless of experience or swimming ability each potential new swimmer has an assessment to allow us to allocate them to the appropriate squad.  It’s also a great opportunity for you to ask our coaching team about the training structure and sessions.

Our learn to swim squads are extremely popular and from time to time places become full.  If this is the case we will be more than happy to place your child on a waiting list and notify you as soon as a spot becomes available for them.

Please fill out the contact form here, and we will look to get back to you as soon as possible to arrange an assessment.
