Bobcats success at North Lancashire swim meet

Burnley Bobcats continued to make great waves over two weekends at the North Lancashire swim meet held at Blackpool Palatine Centre the swimming club based at St Peters centre in Burnley entered a large squad for individual and relay events.

There were some outstanding individual swims by all swimmers these included Katie Dewhurst, Mia Smith, Caitlin Wilson, Lola Cragg, Angelina Spencer, Sadie Kirk, Lucy Turner, Lidia Dewhurst, Hattie Varley, George Turner, Oliver Nutter, Jamie Clayton, Spencer Cragg, Ben Harrison, Riley Du Toit, Emelia Spencer, Mia Wroe, Theo Whittaker, Jordan Nama, James Smith, toby Pilkington, Madeline Smith, Lola baron, Annie Geoghegan, Sianna Smith, Fallon Holgate, Evie Ross, Keira Grennan

Over the of two weekends of tough competition numerous golds, silver and bronze medals were won by all swimmers.

In the relay events the girls U12s smashed the medley with a first 1st and a 2nd place on the freestyle event. The boys U12s doing fantastically well in their first relay race together. The girls 13/14 year olds winning for a second year winning both medley and freestyle events. The 14/15yr old boys swimming in the open age category for the first time, being pipped to 4th on the medley and an excellent 3rd in the freestyle event with an amazing time.
