Sunday 5th Feb: Big well done to Marli, Phoebe, Grace, Rosabella, Winnie, Flic, Yavor, Annabelle, Sophie, Stan, Dan, Yavor, Freddie and William for all achieving qualifying times to attend this weekend's county competition! Day 4- Saturday 4th February Well done to Annabelle, Flick, Marli, Phoebe, Ria, Rosabella, Tess, Winnie, Danny, Freddie, Jacob, Seb and Will who all competed on Day 8 of the "Counties". There were some really notable swims producing some excellent PBs, some by as much as 5 seconds, so not a bad days work all in all. Highlights from this weekend's county competition.... Saturday 28th - Emily competed in the 50m backstroke and successfully made it through to the final - went in seeded 6th and held onto her place. Also swam faster in the final than the heats - great race strategy, well done! Sunday 29th - huge thanks for Gilli for taking the reigns and team managing, remember - we're always looking for new team managers to help lighten the load (and it is certainly isn't as scary as the title sounds.... essentially you need...

Great way to kick off the counties! Absolutely fantastic relay swims, and so lovely to swimmers having lots of fun! Special mentions to Rosabella, Marli, Sophie and Dan who all made it through to the 100IM finals and certainly held their own against a strong field! Another month goes by and our swimmers have been blasting through these home exercise medley challenges. The results are in for May and what a cracker it turned out to be! There was some really close competition in most of the categories. Congratulations to everybody that took part and thanks again to Paul Sartain for organising. While the lockdown has prevented our swimmers from getting in the pool, it certainly doesn't mean they've cut down on their exercise regime! Our fantastic coach Paul Sartain has been providing our Dolphins with an exercise regime for them to do at home. They've been recording their progress for 6 weeks, and competing with each other to be top of the leaderboard. Round 3 of the Cotswold League took place Saturday 7th March at Monmouth and what a fantastic result from the team with 3 out of 3 wins so far! With a tense start, we came from behind to smash the relays and win Round 3. Hot on the heels of the first round of the Cotswold League, Round Two took place on Saturday night at Henleaze pool. We had an excellent turn out from swimmers with some spectacular races! Bath Dolphin took the trophy for the second time running. After a Christmas break, BDSC were back on the competition trail in round one of the Cotswold League. Held on home ground(!), at Monkton Combe School pool, BDSC rose to the challenge and came away victorious with a 33 point lead over Clevedon. A fantastic effort at the City of Bristol open meet this month. PBs were smashed during the event for Oliver, Chai, Emily, Phoebe, Yavor, Danny & Beth - well done to all of you! The Dolphins didn't come home empty-handed either: - There was Bronze for Phoebe in 400 Freestyle - A Silver for Oli in 200 Freestyle - And Silver for Sophie in 50 & 100 Breaststroke...and a regional qualifying time!
