The Management Board & other Club Roles

The Management Board runs the Club in a way that follows the Club Constitution as determined at the Annual General Meeting (AGM). The board aims to meet every other month. If there are any views that you would like aired or points you would like to make, please ask a board member to raise the issue at the next board meeting. If you prefer please contact us, and it will be discussed at the next board meeting, or sooner if urgent action is required.

The board consists of a volunteer group of parents and supporters, elected each year at the AGM. The board's duties are very wide ranging. Finances, membership, pool hire, arranging competitions, discipline, social activities, coaching matters and matters involving Swim England are just a few. If you have any ideas or proposals for improving the Club in any way, please contact any board member.

Non-elective sub-committees

Following recent changes to the constitution, we are introducing non-elective sub-committees to support the running of the club and spread the volunteer workload.

Squad Reps: one or more members of squad or parents to become point of contact for squad members to turn to for new parents/general information and anything specific regarding their squad. Information directed to Head Coach/Chair/Admin as needed and minutes submitted for discussion to Management Board as appropriate by Squad Rep Chair.

Meets Committee: A group of people responsible for planning and executing all meet requirements both internal and external as per the meets schedule. Information submitted to Management Board for discussion as appropriate.

Remember, the Club cannot function without a significant number of volunteers stepping into these sub-committees. There will be no huge commitment if everyone does a little. Please note there is no closing date for stepping forward for sub-committees; these are open to everyone throughout the year.
