The committee is the engine room who carry out all the business operations to ensure our club is run as efficiently as possible while remaining cost-effective for our members.
The City of Derby Swimming Club is always looking for opportunities to improve the way it operates and encourages all its members to find better ways of doing things, in all we do. We must never become complacent, and like our swimmers are only as good as our last race.

The Club is extremely proud to have Joyce Mellor and Ralph Shepherd as figure heads for the City of Derby Swimming Club as President and Vice-President respectively. Joyce and Ralph are long-standing life members who have made a significant contribution to the club over many years, seeing it develop to its successful position today serving the community and sport.

Running a large and growing swimming club is a complex operation that relies on the goodwill of many individuals. There are lots of opportunities to get involved and make a difference!
Volunteers are always needed in the following areas:
- Squad representatives
- Open meet volunteers; announcing, competition stewards, health and safety operatives, electronics, refreshments, medal table, programme and raffle ticket sellers, door stewards.
- Team Managers
- Officials
- Website maintenance
- Social Media updating
- Swim camp organisation
