New Season Galas

Swim Coleraine off to a good start to the gala season.

First up 12 of our Inter, Junior & Skills squads headed to Craigavon for the first Swim Ulster Future Challengers gala. Some fantastic swims, big improvements in race & stroke technique shown. Lots of PB’s and points won. Special mention to our medley & freestyle relay teams who had some of the fastest times of the day.

The following weekend our younger swimmers swapped their club hats for school ones at the Primary Schools Cup and again rocked the pool! For some a first time racing over 50m; for others their first experience of open galas. Lots of super swims, podium finishes and qualifying times for the Irish finals.

Last weekend was the turn of our Senior Squads and the Aspiring Champions - with 28 swimmers over two days, it was fantastic to see so many of our three Senior squads engaging in the process and challenging themselves over longer distances. Lots of effort in the pool, some great times, improvements in technique and pacing, showing all the work in training is paying off.
