Ulster Short Course and New Club Record for Isla

Anne Curry
Lots to celebrate with #SwimColeraine over the last few weeks!
🏊‍♂️ We had 8 of our Senior squad swimmers qualify for the Swim Ulster #shortcoursechampionships - a fantastic number with limited pool time. All had multiple swims over three days, lots of pb’s and good technical swims - showing the hard work an technical development they are doing, in and out of the pool is paying off.
🏊‍♂️ Swim of the event goes to Isla who broke the club 16u 100m freestyle short course record in a time of 1:03:99 - and she’s only just moved into this age bracket. ✨Congratulations Isla!! ✨
🏊‍♂️ Out of the water, Harry was receiving the #ColeraineSportsCouncil Junior Sportsman of the Year award for his successes not just in the pool but in his other sports. He is a great role model for our younger swimmers - ✨Congratulations Harry!! ✨
It was also lovely to see some of our past club members being recognised in the same ceremony for their successes in other sports.
🏊‍♂️ Finally last weekend our #PTL squad headed off to Swilly Seals ASC. With a lot of our swimmers not available and others experiencing their first #PTL gala excitement was high!
Thanks to Swilly Seals as always for a well run, close fought and friendly gala & fantastic hospitality. We’ll have to get our own gala playlist!
Lovely to see our team cheering and supporting each other and celebrating with both teams. The result was uncertain right to the last event and we were delighted with the win 478-474 - couldn’t have been closer!! Good luck with the rest of your season Swilly Seals Asc .
