Ulster Age Groups & Senior LC Championships Roundup 2023

Anne Curry

Now we’ve had time to catch our breath after the Swim Ulster LC Championships - it was some weekend for Coleraine Swimming Club.

Our team of 27 packed a lot in. For some this was a first time competing at this level; others had multiple race focuses & finals places to aim for. It was three long, exciting days of chasing Summer National Championships qualifying times; early starts & late finishes; tiny duck chucking; slam ball searching, analysis and feedback & lots and lots of support and cheering.

A HUGE thanks to the parents, coaches, & volunteers who wore a path up the M2 day after day encouraging & supporting our swimmers - they might not always say it but they and the club are so grateful for all the time and effort given up to support them!

We couldn’t be prouder of our swimmers. They did all that was asked of them and more:

50 new personal bests

25 SN qualification or consideration times
