Jas D’Cunha, 12, achieved qualifying times to the British Championships (Glasgow) in the 50m & 100m breaststroke as well as a qualifying time for the English Championships (Sheffield) in the 200m breaststroke. On June 22nd, over 40 swimmers, coaches & parents from across all of our squads enjoyed the hot and sunny weather by travelling to Adrenalin Quarry aqua park in Liskeard for an hour on the inflatable assault course. Dinnaton Swimming Club are proud to announce that two of our swimmers have qualified to represent the club in their respective national championships at the end of the season.  Jasmine D'Cunha, who qualified for 1 event at the English Championships in 2018, has achieved qualification for 2 events at the British Championships this year in the 50 breaststroke, in which she is seeded 3rd, and the 100 breaststroke, where she is seeded 9th. Yesterday saw a close to this year's Devon Championships and a good finish saw us gain a further 19 personal best times, 3 regional and 2 regional consideration times, 10 finals and a skins appearance. Finals were achieved by;  Frida Gallego-Cooper (50fc),  Maddy Jones (50fc & 100fly),  Jas D'Cunha (100fc, 50fc & 100fly ��),  Katie Cutler (100fc, 50fc & 100fly)  Cole Haigh (100IM & 50fc ��). 12 of our swimmers ventured to Okehampton to take part in the Dartmoor Sprint Meet. From this they gained 31 personal best times, 8 medals and supported each other throughout! Some swimmers have now put themselves into a good position making Devon County Qualification a very real possibility for next year already! Dinnaton Swimming Club deliver an immensely strong start to 2019 Sunday saw the the end of the second weekend of the Devon County Championships, with Dinnaton Swimming Club’s results (who are based at McCaulays Health Club, Ivybridge), firmly establishing themselves as one of the leading swimming clubs in Devon/the South West! A fantastic 17 Dinnaton SC swimmers have qualified for the 2019 Devon County Championships held at the Plymouth Life Centre, starting on Saturday 12th January. In total, these swimmers will be contesting 96 events between them, racing against members from clubs across a very competitive county with a very high standard of swimmers. Well done to all those who have achieved qualifying times to reach this level and good luck over the next few weekends!

Huge well done to our fantastic team last night who swam in a friendly team gala again Devonport & Tavistock at the Life Centre. (Most) of our swimmers were from Junior & Development squads, giving them some great experience. Good fun, teamwork, support and positive atmosphere all round, well done!
