Dinnaton Swimming Club are proud to announce that two of our swimmers have qualified to represent the club in their respective national championships at the end of the season.

Jasmine D'Cunha, who qualified for 1 event at the English Championships in 2018, has achieved qualification for 2 events at the British Championships this year in the 50 breaststroke, in which she is seeded 3rd, and the 100 breaststroke, where she is seeded 9th. She will be racing against swimmers from across Britain in the 13/14 age category at Tollcross Leisure Centre in Glasgow during the last week of July.

In addition, Jasmine has also qualified for the 200 breaststroke event at the English National Championships the following week at Pondes Forge Leisure Centre in Sheffield in the 12/13 year old category, where she is again ranked 3rd.

Lloyd Stone has also achieved qualification to this year's Welsh National Meet in Swansea for the first time, which will be running from July 28th into early August. Lloyd has qualified for 3 events - the 50 backstroke, the 100 backstroke & the 200 backstroke, where he will be once again aiming to improve his personal best times and seeking to reach the finals.

These achievements are a testament to the hard work both swimmers put into their training and we are looking forward to supporting them during the run-up to and during these championships.
