EFDSC started the 2019 M11 Arena League competition with a storming performance at Barnet Copthall Leisure Centre on Sunday 28th April, coming first place with a brilliant 184 points. With a fast paced 49 events in just over 2 hours, our younger swimmers gave an outstanding performance including 17 first places, 13 second places and 10 third place positions. Another great year for the club, with 52 swimmers qualifying for the Essex County Championships, which start this weekend.  Our swimmers are competing in over 250 races and 12 team relay races, which is an awesome achievement.  This is the culmination of swimmers hard work, early morning starts and long practice sessions, so well done to all!  Block A starts this weekend at Basildon, so best of luck to those participating. Currently the club has an annual membership form. It is now possible, under Swim England regulations, for this form to be a "lifetime" form which will remain in place until resignation from the club. The club is issuing the following formal statement in order for your existing membership form to  be considered "lifetime".     The club gives notice that with immediate effect that the latest annual membership form signed by you will now become a "lifetime"form .  This means that each individual named on those forms will continue to...

We had another great event at Stubbers in our annual team building day on Saturday, 1 September.  40 swimmers from a variety of different squads joined for a day of fun filled activity, that included canoeing, kayaking, laser tag, bow and arrow plus lots more.  Thanks to Francois, Carly, Anna and Abigail for the pictures at the end of the newsletter.
