On 29th January, the team at Leicester Sharks C.S.C. embarked on a challenge to walk around the world in 80 days.


The completion of this challenge would coincide with the final racing day of the British Swimming Championships, which this year would have once again encompassed the Olympic Trials for the postponed Tokyo Olympic Games, which is due to be held in Japan in the summer.


This mammoth challenge will begin at the Prime Meridian on the equator and continue East around the circumference of the Earth, 24,901.5 miles, through Africa, the Indian Ocean, South East Asia, the Pacific Ocean, South America and finishing, once again, in the Atlantic Ocean.
