Young Aquatic Helper
To further the pathway of our swimmers, the club offers our 13-17 year olds the opportunity to learn about teaching and coaching swimming. The Young Aquatic Helper Course is the first step for swimmers to become a level 1 teacher, which could lead to paid work and can also be used towards a DoE award.
Swimmers will learn the basics of being poolside and managing a group of junior swimmers, they will become role models for our younger swimmers and help promote our team atmosphere.
Swimmers who wish to become a Young Aquatic Helper will need to offer their services to one of our Academy sessions each week and complete a 3 hour workshop that is done within the club.
