County Championships Day 5

A super Sunday of swimming from the Green Army, lead off by the junior swimmers.

Day 5 kicked off with the boys 100 fly and 5 finalist and a medal winner. Evan got things under way as the first finalist, followed by Josh, Sam D and Tealk all making their age group final. Bailey putting in a big swim, getting a new pb by 3 seconds.

In the final Evan beat his pb by a further 6 seconds and also won 2nd place in his age group.

The girls 50 Breaststroke followed, with Isabel A getting into her final. Izy then went on to smash her final, seeded 5th, Put in a huge swim to take 2nd place.

In the boys 50 Backstroke Evan, Sam P, Josh, Jeremy, Sam D, Ollie M and James G all beat their personal bests. James also went on to get into his first County final, alongside Tealk. In the final Tealk worked hard to achieve 2nd place.

The morning session was rounded off with Grace M getting a 12 second PB in her 400IM. Sam P, Matthew and Daniel added to the pb tally in their 200IM swims.

With so much energy going into the morning session, swimmers had to dig deep to keep things going in the afternoon. Jack B and Luke got things off and running in 100 Breaststroke, Luke making it into his second final of the Championships.

Sam P, Matthew, Jeremy and Daniel followed suit to make it into their age group finals. Jed and Jeremy also gaining new pbs.

The girls then took on 100 Backstroke, with Izy getting herself another great pb, followed by strong swims from Grace M and Emily.

The day finished off with the boys 200 back and girls 200 free. In the girls event, Izy took more time off in her swim to round off an amazing weekend for our Junior girls swimmer.
The boys 200 Backstroke saw lots of big effort put in from James, Sam P, Sam D, Jeremy, Matthew and Even and was finished off with Tealk winning another 2nd place.

Super Sunday also saw the club break it's own County Championships points record, with one session still to go.
