Tring Swimming Club (TSC) is a friendly swimming club that caters for all swimmers who have reached Swim England Learn to Swim Stage 6 and beyond, with over 120 members aged from 8 to over 60. The Club is affiliated to Herts ASA and the ASA Eastern Region.

We provide professional swimming coaching whether you want to compete at all stages from County to National, or swim simply for pleasure, fun and general fitness.

Our Club is the ideal for anyone wishing to improve their swimming technique and take their swimming to the next level.

We also have a thriving team of adult swimmers who build their fitness and swimming technique in our Masters and Fitness Squad.

Anyone who is interested in joining can come along to try it free of charge. Our friendly coaches will be able to provide you with all the information about joining, assess your swimming ability and advise you of the best training squad for your needs and wishes.

We are always delighted to welcome new members of all ages.

TSC objectives

The club can be viewed as a Development Club – looking to develop each swimmer to the best of their individual ability and desire. For some swimmers that could be performing at National level; for others it may be representing the club in the Chiltern league; others may choose to attend one or two training sessions each week for pleasure and to improve general fitness.

TSC Coaching

TSC has a well-qualified and ambitious coaching team. Our coaching program is based on the LTAD (Long Term Athlete Development) framework, which is set by the ASA, and is about making sure that every swimmer reaches their full potential – whether it is recreational swimming or at a National level. All squads follow an IM (Individual Medley) based training plan in order to create a well-rounded swimmer that can excel in different events.

Swim Mark Accreditation

The club is Swim Mark accredited. Swim Mark accreditation means clubs are dedicated to creating the best possible swimming experience for all. It is your guarantee of quality provision for your child. Every Swim Mark accredited club provides high quality, safe, effective, child-friendly services for the benefit of their swimmers and non-swimming members. It’s about putting the swimmers first and ensuring young learners follow the pathway the ASA recognises for training and competition.

Child Safeguarding

Tring Swimming Club has adopted Wavepower 2016/19, the ASA Child Safeguarding policy and procedures.
The theme of Wavepower 2016/19 is to safeguard children and young people in line with current legislation and guidance. More information can be found on the ASA website. ASA Safeguarding Children.

Committee Structure

The Club is run by a committee made up of volunteers for the members.  As the Club continues to grow, the committee welcomes help and support from anyone linked to the Club such as parents, or carers, or who simply love swimming and wish to see it thrive in our small town and surrounding areas.

Helping organise a particular event or activity with support and guidance from the committee will be a great help for the Club and the swimmers love it too!  If you think you can offer any help, however small, please get in touch. Without all the time and effort provided by the wonderful volunteers over the years and going forwards, TSC would simply not exist.
