Our U17 boys are off to Sunderland this coming weekend to represent Exeter City WP in the National Age Group Championship Finals. A huge achievement for the club - they have reached the final four teams in the country and will be up against tough opposition in the shape of Manchester in their first game. Some of our older lads have played against the big guns of City of Manchester and London Penguin before, but for several of the younger players this will be their first experience at this level....

With their new sponsored team kit, our U13 team continued into the second Devon League tournament of the year, gaining three big wins and a draw to remain undefeated this season. Finding themselves 2-0 down vs Paignton, our team found great composure, with a crucial first-period goal from Jenson Rowe and two powerful second-period goals for Marley Hurst to pull the game back and end level. What a game! We had 20 kids playing in this tournament, 13 of the older players for Exeter and 7 of our younger players...

Great performance from the Under 15's saw them take their second win of the week with a 25-4 win over Taunton. Fielding their new team T-shirts the team only conceded one goal in the last three quarters. Man of the match was goalie Alex with some great saves but more importantly his long passes and the most improved player Luke who combined with Alex for a great 20 meter pass and then first time shoot. With ten goals Joe was on target again. Thank you to our team sponsors.

Our U17 boys travelled to Gloucester yesterday to compete in the qualifying tournament for this year's National Age Group Championships. We were up against some tough opposition in the shape of Worthing (the current reigning champions), Cheltenham, Northampton, Birmingham and Sheffield. Starting out with Worthing first, we were barely warmed up, and our passing left something to be desired at times, but we gave them their tightest game of the day, eventually losing out by two goals, 7-9. The other four matches all resulted in wins for the Exeter lads,...

The Men's 2nd team chalked up their second win of the week against Swansea. A much better game than the first, played in good spirits and finished with a drink in the pub with the opposition. Thanks Swansea and Ref Phil Whiting.

Great start for the u17 team with a 32-3 win over Devonport in the Bristol & West competition. Next game against Newton Abbot.

Our Ladies BWPL team finished off Champ 1 in style at the Liverpool Aquatic Centre with a thrilling 15-15 DRAW vs Rotherham Metro that produced a good spread of goals from our team, with five from Jasmin Coleman and our goalie Nina Rickards making the most of the new rule (allowing the keepers to pass the halfway line) to get on the score sheet. Well done Ladies.
