18 IASC swimmers took to the pool at the Bellshill Sharks Open and not even storm Ciara could stop them from achieving a great set of results. Completing almost 100 individual swims they secured top six finishes in half of them and an incredible 27 medals – 1 gold, 15 silver and 11 bronze. Winning the gold medal was Kian McNelis, who took the victory in the 400m IM. Silvers also came in the 400m freestyle and 200m backstroke, where he came tantalisingly close to a new PB. Kian also...

Young IASC swimmers in action at Grangemouth JAGS and MAGS produced an impressive medal haul over the two days of competition. JAGS is a graded meet. Graded competitions are designed to offer less experienced swimmers the opportunity to race and are the entry point to competitive swimming for many young athletes. MAGS is not graded, meaning a higher level of competition. At the JAGS meet, IASC’s 14 swimmers won multiple medals competing in the 50m events of all four strokes. A real mix of swimmers were involved – from youngsters...

It is the highlight of the club’s social calendar, and an opportunity to recognise the club’s achievements in the past year and acknowledge the local businesses who have shown support to the club throughout the year.
