Club Time Trials (all squads)

All throughout the competitive season, our squad coaches will run time trials, more frequently for our junior squads. These provide opportunities for our younger swimmers that are too young to participate in the more formal galas, some racing experience and a means to gauge their improvement. It is also used to allow parents to assist with timekeeping duties and as a tool for selection for the Aquasprints Team.

Aquasprints (8-11 year olds)

Lisburn's younger swimmers compete in the Aquasprint Junior Swimming League, which has been sponsored by our locally based healthy snack company 'Forest Feast' for over 10 years. It is for swimmers aged 8-11years and all races are one length (25m). They cover the four strokes with events for girls and boys with mixed medley and frontcrawl relays. The key ethos of the league is fun although there can be fierce competition. Its a fantastic opportunity to see how our club swimmers are developing and it gives each swimmer a chance to experience highly charged yet fun racing. Every swimmer gets a t-shirt too!

Club Championships (all squads)

LCSC hold our Club Championships every year around January over 4 days. It is for all our competitive squads and range from 50m to 200m in all 4 strokes, 200m & 400m IM and 400m Freestyle. This is a chance for our younger swimmers to experience competition in a more informal environment, and also for our volunteers to gain experience as officials for galas. The swimmers' performance counts towards awarding of trophies at the club's end of season Awards Night
