LCSC Club Captains 2020 / 21

My name is Andrea Cox, I am 18 years old and train with NSS. My number one stroke is butterfly. I started swimming with Lisburn LTS programme at the age of 5 and joined the club when I was 8. I went on to represent the club in Aquasprints for 4 years. When I was 12, I quit swimming but came back the next season and went on to be selected to represent Ulster in the schools interpro on more than one occasion. I was even able to go to my first international meet in Canet-en-Roussillon last year where I got the opportunity to race with some of best swimmers in the world. In December 2019 I was given the opportunity to represent Ireland and swim fly in a relay to get and Irish record.

My name is Deaten Registe, I am 17 years old and currently train In NSS. The stroke I enjoy the most is breaststroke. I started learning to swim around the age of 5, joined our local swim club at 9 and then transfered to Lisburn City Swim Club at the age of 13 where I have gone on to swim at National and International Level. I have also been involved in AquaSprint coaching and enjoy teaching in the Lisburn Learn to Swim programme. Swimming has been a massive part of my life to date, and is something I hope I will always be lucky enough to do.
