Doppler machines for nurses in memory of Jack Beattie

Sharon Cox

We are very pleased to annouce that we managed to raise a total of £600 through donations in memory of our late Club President, Jack Beattie. A very big thank you to everyone that supported this cause. The money was used to purchase 2 hand held Doppler machines, and we were able to present it to Dorothy, District Nursing Sister today (with Stan and Colin Beattie). This will allow the 3 community nursing teams to now have 3 machines between them and provide the best care, as Jack was so lucky to have over his later years. Thank you to Colin Beattie (Jack's son) for coming up with the suggestion and liasing with the District Nurses, and giving LCSC this opprtunity to remember Jack.
