Dulwich Dolphins is a competitive swimming club based in the Dulwich area of South-East London and was founded in 2012. It has grown very quickly in size and is now well-established in the area with strong links to the local schools, many of which supply us with pools for training.
We cater for all levels of ability, from learn-to-swim right through to those in our Performance squad, some of whom swim at national and international level. We involve families in a swimming programme which builds on a love of the sport and offers the chance to progress through a squad structure. Whatever your goals we hope to help you progress and believe, as Lani Kraus did, that:“one person working toward a dream is worth 99 people just working.”
Our learn-to-swim starts at 4 yrs old and runs on a Sunday morning with 30 minute sessions. The next level up, our Developmental squads, have 1 to 2 hours/week training. Our pre-competition squads train for 3 to 4 hours per week and our senior squads train anywhere between 4 and 12 hours per week.
There is an annual membership fee and a monthly squad fee, and also a prepayment for our twice yearly club Championships which all but the learn-to-swim take part in.
The club is run by a volunteer management committee as well as several other parent volunteers, and is non-profit-making.
