Over the past few weeks a few Open Water venues around London have begun allowing swimmers back into their facilities. Although Brompton SC cannot organize Open Water training sessions for our members as our coaches are not licensed by Swim England to do so, parents are of course welcome to take their swimmers if it is something they might be interested in doing while we are waiting for news on when the pools can open again. No doubt by now you will have heard the news that the government has left pools off the list of venues and services that will be opening on July 4th. Everyone in the swimming community are shocked and frustrated by this decision as our governing body, Swim England, have spent the last few weeks preparing a robust "Back to Swimming" guide that would have helped clubs get back to training safely and well within social distancing guidelines (that have since been relaxed even further).
