The 38 Brompton Swimmers selected to represent the club in the 1st round of the 2019 National Arena League can be proud of their performances but should take the disappointment of the narrow overall loss (we finished in 2nd place by only 5pts) and use that feeling to ensure we come back in the next round even more prepared to race and cheer our hearts out while also insuring the mistakes that cost us the victory don't happen again. Coming into this year after fiinishing 9th overall in Division 1...

Over the weekend of October 5th-6th about 30 Brompton SC swimmers competed in the 2019 Middlesex County Development meet at the newly opened Barnet Copthall Leisure Centre. Despite some teething problems at the centre and a very late finish Saturday, Ramtin was very happy with the progress on display from most of the Brompton SC swimmers as it showed the work being done on a consistent basis in training is paying dividends even at this early stage of the season. Our swimmers hit 70% life-time bests, raced their way to...

Following on from the successful MKJL performances of our younger swimmers, a group of 30 swimmers from the Junior and Senior Squads showed they are ready for a great season with a number of strong early season swims at the 19th JM Open Meet that took place in Southampton on Sunday September 29th, 2019. As a group the Brompton swimmers were able to hit lifetime bests in 38% of their swims which is an excellent rate considering we've only been back to training for 4 weeks and some of the...

Heading into the meet the club was the 6th seed which was already a great accomplishment considering we only finished 3rd in the 2nd Division the previous season and...

Individual qualification for these prestigious competitions were based on the swimmers end of season national rankings, while the relay teams were selected based on their performances at the London Regional Championships back in May. British Summer...

After witnessing far too many bags of Haribo and various fried crisps on poolside at recent competitions, I asked a Sports Nutritionist I work with at Latymer (he is also a swimming teacher) to prepare a small document relating to what swimmers should be looking to eat and drink during race days. It's not an exhaustive list of everything a swimmer should or should not eat,  but should help guide our swimmers towards better choices. Navid has included his contact details at the end of the article should anyone have...

Although it was published in the Summer Champs program, we wanted to direct everyone's attention to the first draft of the 2019 Autumn/Winter Competition Schedule. BSC 2019 Autumn/Winter Competition Schedule- (1st draft) This will be updated on the web-site over the coming weeks but we'd like everyone to have a look and make sure the important dates (including the early MKJL date and all three rounds of the Arena League) are kept clear and prioritized. Competitions are an important part of all of our swimmers development especially those taking place...
