BSC Swimmers Start Season Off with a Bang at Saxon Crown

Bram Montgomery

Not entering the Winchester Meet as originally planned turned out to be a blessing in disguise as close to 50 extra BSC swimmers were able to race instead in the Autumn Showdown hosted by Saxon Crown in Lewisham. The fact that many of the heats were made up of mostly Brompton swimmers didn't slow down our athletes as they were able to hit PB after PB and collect dozens of medals, with many achieving the tough new Middlesex County and London Region QT's.

Fresh off his excellent performances at the National Inter-County Champs, Luke kept up his hot start to the season hitting 9 more PB's and breaking Club Records in each of those events as well.

These excellent early season results are a great sign and hopefully motivates everyone to continue to come to the pool consistently for training! The coaches are pushing the philosophy of HWPO this season: Hard Work Pays Off. The swimmers who have been showing up and working hard in training certainly shined in Lewisham and are setting themselves up for even more great swims in November and December.
