One of the best ways you as a parent can support our swimmers is by becoming a licenses Swim England Officials. As you know our recent County Development Meet was partially cancelled due to a lack of officials and if we had more "home-grown" officials within our club we could run more of our own meets giving more opportunities to our swimmers to compete and for the club to raise funds. Details on upcoming courses are below.

British Swimming is changing the style of the J1 training with effect from January 2020.  The changes have a number of implications for Middlesex County ASA.

1. Any candidates signing up for training from 1st January 2020 will be able to undertake an on-line course in place of the current three class room based sessions.  This will then still be followed by mentoring organized in a similar way to the current system.  Applicants will not be able to start the course until registered as a member of Swim England.

2.  Counties will not be able to offer class room style training at all from October 2019.

3. Anybody already undergoing training, or signing for a new course will need to have completed their training and been successfully assessed by the end of July 2020.  Any trainees still not qualified at that time will need to start again using the new system including the on-line course.

Therefore, Middlesex County ASA will only be starting two further J1 courses this year. These courses are listed on the County website with the dates of all three sessions for each course and the full address for each venue. The first date and location for each one is:-
