Swimmers from the National and Junior Squads make big gains in Cyprus.

Bram Montgomery

During the April 2019 Easter Holidays, 23 swimmers from the Brompton SC National and Junior Squads spent 7 days training at the amazing facilities found at the Geroskipou Sports Centre in beautiful Paphos, Cyprus. Our hosts at the Aliathon Resort, in partnership with Gorgo Travel and the Cyprus Tourism Board gave our swimmers an incredible platform to enable them to improve their strength, stamina, and speed in the water with 12 pool sessions and 3 gym sessions in their world class facilities. The swimmers did a fantastic job both in and our of the water with many of our athletes taking advantage of their free time by focusing on their studies and exam preparations, while also fitting in some time for fun around the resort and in the ocean.

The swimmers and coaches owe a ton of thanks to Juliet Rowson and Jo Greengross both of whom spent countless volunteer hours organizing the trip in the months preceding our time in Cyprus, while also ensuring the pastoral care and health of our athletes was a top priority throughout the trip.
