Big Performances from Brompton SC at the Black Lion Open Meet

Bram Montgomery

While the swimmers from the Brompton Sr. Squad were putting up dominating performances at the London Region Champs, a small group of younger swimmers from our other squads were cutting through the waves at the Black Lion Open Meet in Gillingham, Kent. The 20 swimmers spent the Bank Holiday weekend crushing PB's and impressing coach Ramtin with their focus on the race habits he and the other coaches are working hard to instill everyday in training. Our swimmers hit lifetime bests on 85% of the races which is a great number for a mid season competition and also added 21 medals.

After spending a week training in Cyprus with the Sr swimmers where he was awarded the "Hardest Worker" prize, big things were expected of Marc and he didn't disappoint hitting PB's in all 10 of his races while also collecting 5 medals. Also impressing was Imogen with 6 PB's and 5 Medals, and Joseph with 4 medals and a perfect 7 out of 7 PB's.

A special mention also goes to Rosie for breaking the Brompton SC Club Record in the girls 9&Under 50m Backstroke.
