Fitness Squad Swimming Coach (Volunteer)

We are looking for a highly motivated and organised individual to coach our Fitness Squad program.
Currently training for 2.5 hours per week, our fitness program is for those swimmers who have been competitive swimmers and have taken a step back, or for those who have not progressed into competitive swimming and train for enjoyment and fitness.

Coaches for this squad will be required to:
Write and deliver sessions
Communicate with parents, coaches and committee members regularly
Attend ongoing training
Complete associated administration

All coaches as Durham City Aquatics are required to hold valid DBS certificates and undergo safeguarding training.

Assistant Swimming Coach(es) (Volunteer)

We are looking for a number of Assistant Coaches to support the coaching program. 

Assistant Coaches will be required to:
Assist with the delivery of session planned by a Lead Coach
Provide cover when Lead Coaches are unavailable

All coaches as Durham City Aquatics are required to hold valid DBS certificates and undergo safeguarding training. The ideal candidate will be committed to ongoing profession development.

Strength & Conditioning Coach(es) (Volunteer)

At Durham City we are committed to offering the holistic approach to competitive aquatics. We are developing our athlete support networks all of the time.
At this time we are looking for Strength and Conditioning Coaches or Personal Trainers to add to our Dryland service prevision.

Club Treasurer

 

The Treasurer is an Executive Officer of the Club, along with the Chair and Secretary. The Treasurer of the club is responsible for producing and managing the club’s accounts and finances, and should report to the Club Chairperson. This role will include being responsible for all income and expenditure for the club.

Duties of Treasurer

  •     •To be responsible for all club finances through ensuring adequate accounts and records exist
  •     •To issue receipts and keep records of all monies received
  •     •To plan the annual budget in agreement with the club committee, and monitor throughout the year
  •     •To ensure that all funds are used appropriately
  •     •To ensure prompt banking of funding
  •     •To maintain up to date records of all transactions and records of income and expenditure
  •     •To prepare end of year accounts and present to the auditor and management committee and AGM.
  •     •To be responsible for the Club’s payroll in respect of the Employed Coaching Staff
  •     •To  maintain records of any wages/salaries paid and for meeting the requirements and submissions to HMRC and NEST.

Time Commitments

There is an ongoing weekly time commitment for this role to fulfil the above criteria. In addition there will be other time commitments which will include attendance at club meetings, and ongoing budget and financial responsibilities.
