What a terrific day of swimming we had at our International Summer Meet 2023. Kicking off 2022, DCA opened the year at the Peterlee/Derwentside New Year meet at the Louisa Centre over the weekend of 8th/9th January. There were superb performances from swimmers across five squads ranging from our Youth/Senior swimmers in P1 down to our younger junior swimmers in C-Squad. In what turned out to be a relatively short meet (by usual experiences!) swimmers acquired additional N&D and NER Qualifying times as well as a hefty case of silverware! Massive well done to the swimmers involved to achieve more then 60% personal best...

WinterGala Report Last Sunday saw the final in the club gala series. The Winter Gala, decorated with actual snow; was well attended with a good spread of athletes from every level of the club. With the competition calendar being so polarised, its lovely (and rare) to see senior swimmers and those at the entry end of the club competing at the same time.
