The last session for all squads before our summer break will be on Wednesday 10th August and all training will return to normal on Thursday 1st September. Water Polo is slightly different and you will have heard from Julie (Water Polo Secretary) about the sections arrangements if that affects you.

Warm-up times for the Summer Gala are as follows: 08:00 - 08:15 : B-Squad, C-Squad, Junior Fitness and Entry (E1 & E2); 08:17 - 08:35 : Performance (P1 & P2), A-Squad, Masters and Fitness. Competition will start at 08:45. Swimmers will be admitted from 07:30; spectators will be admitted from 08:00.

Annual Splash Bash – Awards and Presentation Evening On Sunday, our club members got to put their swimming kit to one side for one evening and dress up for our annual presentation evening at Ramside Hall. Kicking off 2022, DCA opened the year at the Peterlee/Derwentside New Year meet at the Louisa Centre over the weekend of 8th/9th January. There were superb performances from swimmers across five squads ranging from our Youth/Senior swimmers in P1 down to our younger junior swimmers in C-Squad. In what turned out to be a relatively short meet (by usual experiences!) swimmers acquired additional N&D and NER Qualifying times as well as a hefty case of silverware! WinterGala Report Last Sunday saw the final in the club gala series. The Winter Gala, decorated with actual snow; was well attended with a good spread of athletes from every level of the club. With the competition calendar being so polarised, its lovely (and rare) to see senior swimmers and those at the entry end of the club competing at the same time.
