B-Squad

Introduction

In B-Squad athletes will continue to work on the skills and technique they developed in C-Squad whilst adding new ones.  There will be a greater focus on aerobic conditoining while maintaining efficiency. In this squad athletes will start to learn training skills such as the use of a pace clock and the understading times announced by the coach.  They will also be introduced to test sets as a means to making training more specific to the individual. 

Multisport activities remain important in B-Squad, however athletes are encouraged to make as many session as possible. 

Competition becomes an important part of training at this level and athletes are therfore encouraged to compete in all meets marked for B-Squad.

Athletes should begin to aspire towards County Qualifying Times (N&Ds).
