FAQ Exisiting Members

I have entered my child for their first gala!

What do I need to know and what do they need to take with them on the day?

We have a really useful Guide to Competing, please follow the link which will direct you to it.

If you still have questions after reading that, depending on what it is you need to know, you could e-mail your Squad Coach, the Club Secretary or post a question on the Club’s Facebook group, which is a closed group for parents/carers of our members and for adult members.  Some of the Coaches are also in that Group, so between us, someone should be able to answer your questions.  If you are not already a member of the group, you can find it here, https://www.facebook.com/groups/DCASWPC/

Junior League – The Club competes in the Northumberland & Durham District Junior League Series. This event is open to 9-12 year olds (age as of the 31st December). Each Club competes in three heats, usually held in January to June and then the top 6 clubs compete in the divisional final usually held in September. Selection for this series is made based on times, although opportunities will be given to novice swimmers if possible.

How do we get hold of Club hats and Club kit?

The Club Shop is sometimes available at Club Galas or on a Sunday morning as advertised by e-mail and on Facebook.  However, if you need something in between those times, you can e-mail Susan Jobling, a Committee Member who looks after the Club Shop at [email protected]  Susan will be very happy to help you.
