Please note, we have a slight delay in issuing J1 Voucher codes. The trainees impacted have been contacted. As soon as the issue has been resolved, the Officials Administrator will let you know. In the meantime, if your candidates are super keen I'd suggest they purchase the course directly themselves and request the club reimburses them.
Dress Code - Winter Regionals 2023
BULLETIN #4 - OFFICIALS' DRESS CODE
Sunday 27th August
Swim England South East Region has decided to change the dress code for officials for these Championships.
British Swimming and Swim England are switching to black trousers, skirts or shorts for officials at their events. The region has decided to follow their lead. We expect most Counties and Clubs hosting licensed open meets to do likewise.
The long-term objective is a consistent uniform of black trousers, skirts or shorts.
We recognise that officials already have “whites” and we should not unreasonably force officials to purchase new kit or risk have insufficient officials willing to volunteer, for the immediate future (at least for the Short Course championships) we have decided that officials may choose to wear either black or white. Pool shoes may also be black or white. We will decide on the policy for the 2024 Championships based on feedback from officials.
On the pool deck officials will still be distinct and recognisable because all will be wearing the official Swim England South East Region white polo shirts.
We will allow officials to wear shorts but request that all officials, male and female, refrain from wearing shorts that are too short. If in any doubt, get someone to take a photograph of you in your shorts, from behind, bending forwards, and decide whether that is an image you wish to project!
It is important that we get this message out as quickly as possible, so that any officials about to buy new poolside kit are aware of the “direction of travel”, so you may receive the same information from multiple sources.

Only the appointed race referees for the race where a concern has been identified should submit the form. If any other official or volunteer has a concern, then it should be reported to the relevant referee.
