To facilitate ongoing Covid restrictions and limited numbers in the pool, the Club have decided to request that Otter 6 & 6A  swimmers stay in the same sessions that they signed up for last September 2020

Swimmers who kindly moved to temporary time slots last September on Tuesdays and Fridays in Newpark, may return to the original time slots which Julie would have emailed you in August 2020.

If you have any queries in relation to days and times, Heidi will be available this week at swimming to answer any of your queries. Once Covid restrictions ease, the Club will once again look at swimmers attending sessions as they wish. Please bear with us over the next week or so while we get all our swimmers back in the pool and sort session times to suit everyone.

7.       For older swimmers: At the end of the swim, get out, gather your towel/dryrobe and either leave directly through back exit to car park or go into the changing room to get changed quickly. No showers are in use at this point in time. This is under continuous review.

8.       For parents of younger swimmers: Please ensure you pre-arrange with your child where you will pick them up. Parents of young children may go to the dressing room to assist with dressing. Adults and children age 12 and over must wear a mask

How to use the Covid App:

Below are the steps on how to access and complete the Covid -19 form for swimmers on the day of training

All swimmers must have the form completed prior to attending training or this will not be able to swim

Steps to register for a swim:

1.       Open the following link https://covid.oqlist.co.uk/register

2.       Type in “Otter Swimming Club” and press continue

3.       Fill out the form for the child you are registering (if more than 1 child a form for each swimmer needs to be completed)

4.       Select the group, day and time that your child is swimming in (e.g. Wed 6-6A 6.50 – 7.45)

5.       Press continue and complete the questioner and submit

6.       You are only able to complete the form on the day of the swim,

7.       Complete the form by 4pm on the day of the Swim

Please Note:

A separate e-mail with instructions for Covid officers will be sent out.

Whilst many parents have already done the Covid officer course, we regularly find ourselves short of a Covid officer at a swim.  In this situation, we have found a parent to step in.  However, we can’t rely on luck and would really appreciate it if every parent can do the very short online course organised at regular intervals by Swim Ireland to become a Covid officer.

Many thanks for all your support for the Club.  We want to welcome everyone back to a great swimming year where everyone develops not just their technique but also, a passion for a sport that lasts a lifetime.
