Swimming Technical Officials (STO)

One member of every family who has a swimmer in any of the squads is encouraged to undertake STO training if they are not already involved in volunteering with the Club in another way. This can be a parent or sibling age 14+.

It only takes one Referee and 2 Linesmen to manage a football match; it takes 19 timekeepers, 8 judges, an announcer, recorder, convener, marshal/s, and referee plus starter to run a 6-lane swimming gala.

Without you, the Club would not be able to maintain a competition programme.

What's involved

For information on STO's visit the Scottish Swimming website.  See STO Pathway.

Courses

Periodically courses will be run for new time keepers as well as existing timekeepers/Judges who can now progress to Judge 1/ Starter, and for those who wish to become Recorders.

More information will be posted on the club notice board or here when a course is available.
