Adult Learn to Train

Starting 1 March 2023, CSCSC is delighted to offer adult lessons for those who are looking to develop their technique and fitness in the pool. Our intention as a club is bridge the gap/scaffold swimmers who can already swim one stroke, including submersion, for at least 2 consecutive lengths (50m). This opportunity can support swimmers looking to swim at their local leisure centre, enter swimming/triathlon competitions or join the CSCSC Masters Squad.

Entry Criteria

Adults (18 years +) attend these lessons, who are able to swim 2 consecutive lengths of one stroke which includes putting their face in the water. You do not have to be able to swim all 4 strokes, nor will you be required to swim constantly for 1 hour. If you cannot swim or do not feel comfortable with submersions please do not register, these lessons are not appropriate for you.

The teacher/coach of the lesson, alongside the Stages Co-ordinator have the right to recommend appropriate lesson/training provision should you fail to meet the entry criteria, or demonstrate the technique and fitness to access Masters training sessions. This will be discussed directly with the applicable swimmer and further action and guidance will be provided by the Stages Co-ordinator and/or Office Manager.
