Academy Silver is the first full competitive level of the club. Swimmers join from Academy Bronze or from an external lessons programme. Swimmers will develop their technical ability and endurance. They will also be taught starts and turns. Swimmers will compete in their first competition in this squad usually at an invitational meet.

Academy Silver Entry Criteria

• Swimmers aged 7-10. Age as of December 31.
• Swim 400m continuously holding good technique
• Kick 25m in under 30 seconds
• Hold underwaters to 15m
• Perform all starts and turns correctly

Session Attendance
A minimum of 2 sessions per week is required.

Squad Training Items

• Fins
• Kick board 
• Pull buoy
• 1 Litre water bottle

Pathway Progression

Depending on the level of attainment reached by the individual during their time in the Academy squads, will decide which of the 3 pathways they will be asked to join.

This will be based on attendance,attitude and performance.

ALL squad movements will be at the discretion of the Head Coach.
