Starts & Turns Clinic – A Sell-Out Success

Communications TeamBath AS

The Sell-Out Team Bath AS Improve Start, Turns and Finish Clinic held on Saturday 27th April was well received by clubs, swimmers and coaches alike with 20 swimmers from nine Clubs across Somerset, Gloucestershire and Wiltshire learning from the bespoke skill-based session.

The 2-hour Clinic run by Development Coach, Liam Willcox gave swimmers the chance to improve key race skills in the University of Bath 50m Olympic size pool. Coaches Kay Rex and Verity Brunwin (Keynsham ASC) and Carolyn Nicholls (Team Bath AS and Warminster ASC) also had the chance to see the session in action pool side.

Tweeting after the event Keynsham Swimming Club said:  ’Swimmers and their coaches had a great session at the Team Bath AS Starts and Turns Workshop. Thanks to Karen Bowen for organising. Look out for details of the next one.”

We’d like to thank the Team Bath AS parents and swimmer volunteers who helped run the Clinic on the day – Sue and Tommy Criddle; Mark and Martha Kelly.

This was the latest in a series of Age Group Skills Clinics. To date all Clinics have been oversubscribed so we plan to release more skills clinic dates in June to meet ongoing demand. Details of the next Clinic will be released soon, giving more swimmers in the Region the chance to sign up for these popular events.
