Club History

Team Bath AS Performance Swimming Club is proud of its long-term partnerships with local swimming clubs. These partnerships have run successfully for many years, providing a streamlined development pathway for talented swimmers to realise their potential in regional, national and international competitions.

Formerly known as Team Bath Youth and Age Group, the club was reconstituted as Aquae Sulis Performance Swimming Club in September 2010 and Team Bath AS in February 2017. In February 2018, the membership voted for Team Bath AS to become an independent club so that it could continue to offer the best service to its partner clubs while also developing further opportunities for talented swimmers in the Bath area.

Our dedicated and specialised coaching team design and manage the club's training and competition programme. The ethos of the club is performance swimming, following the guidelines and principles of long-term athlete development, using the 50m Olympic Legacy swimming pool and state-of-the-art facilities at the University of Bath Sports Training Village.
