If you are concerned about your swimmer, please talk to the coach by speaking to them before or after the session or, if that is not possible, by making an appointment.  Please remember not to go on to poolside as this could be a welfare risk.  Coaches contact details can be found on our website under About Us, Coaching Team.

Alternatively, you can contact our independent Welfare Officer on a confidential basis.  Our Welfare Officer is Elena Parkhomenko. She can be contacted at [email protected].   She has specific training for those who have a designated role in safeguarding within sports and she can deal with any issue relating to safeguarding and welfare.  You can find out more about the role of a Welfare Officer under Policies, Safeguarding on our website.

You should try to contact our Club Welfare Officer in the first instance.  However, if you are unable to contact our Club Welfare Officer, you can call:

  • first, the Swim England London Regional Safeguarding Team on 07583 681 211; or
  • secondly, the Swim England Safeguarding Team on 01509 640700 (Option 1 for Swim England and then Option 3 for Safeguarding).

If the concern is urgent and about a child at risk and you cannot contact our Club Welfare Officer, Swim England London Region Safeguarding Team or Swim England Safeguarding Team then you can call the NSPCC on 0808 800 5000 (if appropriate to do so).

CWSC’s welfare policies reflect Swim England’s safeguarding guidelines in WavePower and Swim England London Region’s Safeguarding Aquatics for Everyone “S.A.F.E.”.  You can find out more about WavePower on the Welfare tab on our website.  As a SwimMark Accredited Club, all of our coaches are DBS checked and trained in safeguarding.
