CWSC Membership
11-Apr-2019

We are very pleased to introduce Daniel Grasso, our new Strength and Conditioning coach. Daniel will begin to work with the two performance squads. The role will then develop across the pathway to ensure swimmers achieve basic athletic ability and an understanding of the correlation between a land and pool program.

Daniel has experience working with numerous athletes from a wide variety of sporting diciplines. Most recently, Daniel has spent 8 months working with the University of East London High Performance Scholarship Programme, assisting scholars with their training programmes. Here he worked with athletes competing in athletics, football, volleyball, and also players from London Lions basketball club. Many of these athletes were very successful, competing at BUCS championships and many were national level, semi-professional and even professional athletes.
Academically, Daniel obtained his bachelors degree at Loughborough University studying Sport and Exercise Science and is currently studying for his Masters degree in Strength and Conditioning at St Mary's University. In addition, Daniel is a fully qualified secondary school teacher. His philosophy of training is to empower athletes to progress in their athleticism, through education of correct technique and fundamental principles. Daniel aims to develop confidence in his athletes and progress their training steadily and systematically to ensure successful outcomes.
A BIG welcome to Daniel!
