Fees

Fees are calculated annually then divided into 12 equal payments. They take into account holidays, sessions cancelled due to planned competitions and the Summer shut down/tick over period. Fees are therefore payable for 12 months of the year. LTS Fees are based on a 40-week year and are also divided equally so payable for 12 months of the year. The monthly fee comprises of two elements. - the first covers all aspects of Club Membership and the second is a Training Fee, which varies depending on squad. This Training Fee reflects the pool and any gym time offered to each squad as well as the level of teaching/coaching offered.

Payment

By joining the club, you agree to pay the monthly fees for the relevant squad. Fees are payable in advance on the 1st the month, from a credit or debit card added to your Team Unify account. In addition, on joining, new members will be charged one month’s membership fee in advance (£30) to cover the membership fee for one calendar months’ notice period required to terminate Club membership (see below). Members starting within the first week of a month will be charged in full for this initial month. Members starting thereafter in the initial month will be charged membership and pro- rata training fees. 

Resignation & notice period

Any member wishing to cancel their membership of the Club must provide the Membership Secretary (email: [email protected]) of his/her intention. One full calendar months notice must be received via Email. FNSC have a cut off date of for this to be received by the 8th of the month for fees to be cancelled in the same month. If notice is received after this date, then following month’s fees will be due.
e.g., if notice is received after the 8th April, fees will be due on 1st May and membership will cease on 31st May. If 1 month’s membership fee has been paid in advance on joining then only the training fee will be due for this final month.

Non-payment of monies owed to the club may result in the swimmer NOT being allowed to swim until debts are cleared.  If payments are not made for 3 months the member will be deemed to have left the Club. Account holders can access invoice details in their TU account and are responsible for maintaining a valid payment card and checking failed payments (TU will notify these automatically).

Cancelled Sessions

Occasionally, due to unforeseen circumstances, there may be a number of unplanned cancelled sessions during the year. Whenever possible, the club will minimise the number of cancelled sessions by providing alternative sessions on different days or at different times or locations. Individual cancelled sessions due unforeseen issues (e.g. closed due to contamination) will not be refunded. Should the sessions for any squad need to be cancelled for a prolonged period then the committee will review fees and determine a refund policy. Please check TU emails and online Timetables regularly.

University Students

Students at University away from the area can maintain their membership and swim at the club during the holidays. The charges for this are the current club Swim England Membership charge payable annually plus a £5 per session charge.

Affiliated Members

Swimmers not currently training with the club may maintain their Swim England membership by paying the current appropriate fee, including a small admin charge. Details can be obtained from the Membership Secretary.
