We've made some important tweaks to our training programme - please click here. In brief: > a session apiece has been added for County and Regional squads, re-establishing normal hours for those squads. > a reminder of arrival times, allowing swimmers to be checked in for a prompt start to sessions > clarification on the current position with land training

Dear swimmers, parents and carers. Hope everyone is well and looking forward to getting back in the pool. By now you should have all received videos and a back to training information letter. Also 3 forms were sent out that need to be filled out and returned by email to the welfare officers by 5th Sept. Please note that swimmers will not be allowed back to training unless these are sent back. If you have not received any of the above please let me know asap. All procedures have been...

Preparations for our return to the pool on the 7th September are coming together. We will start with the training schedule now available on our website under the Squads & Timetable tab: https://uk.teamunify.com/team/reczzkscor/page/join-kasc/training-schedule We have tried to keep to the same times as previously where pool availability allows - we will keep this schedule under review and will tweak where we can make better use of the time.

Dear Swimmers, Parents,Carers Hope everyone is keeping safe and well. Just an update on where we are at. At last, fingers crossed there is light at the end of the tunnel. The committee have been working hard and good progress has been made with Keynsham but much slower progress with Hengrove. Hengrove are planning to open their pool on the 1st Sept and we are planning to be back the following week 7th Sept. We are still waiting for all their procedures to be set in place before we can...

Dear Swimmers, parents, carers Hope everyone is keeping well. The committee have been communicating very regularly with Hengrove and Keynsham pools regarding our club returning to training. Unfortunately Hengrove have now informed all clubs that use the pool that there will be a delay in getting back in and they are now hoping for 1st Sept to open their pool. As you can imagine we are very frustrated at this delay but will keep working closely with the pool operators to now get our procedures in place. Keynsham are hopeful...

Dear swimmers, parents, carers. Hope everyone is staying safe and well. Our committee have been working very hard with Parkwood who are the providers of Hengrove pool to agree a date for our return. We are delighted that the week commencing August 17th has been provisionally decided on. Hengrove have opened their gym and are now going to concentrate on getting the pool ready and heated for that date. In the meantime we will be working hard planning on how and when our squads will train. We have to have...

Dear Swimmers, parents and carers. Hope everyone is staying well The outside land training started this week for some squads and was extremely successful. Everyone followed the government guidelines and social distancing rules, well done. Regarding pool openings, both Keynsham and Hengrove have advised us that they will be opening their gyms before the pools. Hengrove are expecting a date to be announced of when the pool may open next week. As you can imagine financially it is very expensive to heat and run pools, so it’s a bit of...

Dear Swimmers, parents/carers Opps in my excitement I sent the last email out by mistake Hope you are all staying safe and well. As you can imagine we have been anxiously waiting for details from the government of when the pools may open. Finally a date was announced today at 5pm for pools to start opening from 25th July. We would just like to reassure you that our committee will be working very hard with the pool providers to ensure a safe way back to training. The pools have...

Dear Swimmers, parents/carers As you may know swim England handed in a 50,000 signed petition to “open our pools”. This resulted in members of the government and public health officials touring 4 pools to observe how safety guidelines can be put in place. The latest announcement from the government albeit wishy washy is “sometime in July” for pools to be given the go ahead. In the meantime the committee have been working very hard to get some socially distanced outdoor land training started for some squads. Also coaches and committee...

Good evening, We were disappointed today, as I’m sure you were, to learn that swimming pools were amongst the list of places that are still to be given an opening date. We are fully in support of Swim England’s #OpenOurPools campaign. Swim England is calling on its members, clubs, coaches, teachers, swim schools, swimmers and facility operators to back its #OpenOurPools campaign. Chief Executive Jane Nickerson has said millions of people are being let down by the Government’s decision not to allow pools to reopen on 4 July. So, we...
