Rules, Safeguarding & Codes of Conduct

The club abides by its Club Rules, and also operates within the SwimEngland Code of Ethics, as detailed in the Swim England handbook.

When applying to join Maxwell all our members additionally agree to join our Governing body, SwimEngland (the ASA). Follow this link for more details on SwimEngland registration, and what membership entitles you to.

As is compulsory for all SwimEngland affiliated clubs, Maxwell Swim Club Ltd has adopted the current Wavepower policy in full, which governs how we protect everyone involved with our club, particularly with regard to Child Safeguarding.   Adherence to this is checked when the club re-applies for its SwimMark accreditation each year, but everyone is encouraged to play their part.

Everyone involved with our club signs up to one or more Code of Conducts,  as set out in Wavepower:

We also follow our own Good Lane Swimming Guide for best practice of swimming within our squads.

Please read the Club's Disciplinary Procedure which guides what happens should the Codes of Conduct(s) referred to above be breached.

Please also read this advice from welfare regarding changing facilities and code of conduct.
