The Joining Process

Depending on your current swimming capabilities and experience, your trial experience may vary based on a range of factors such as whether you are having a trial in the Academy or Club, what squad you are trialling in, your previous swimming experience and more. The process also varies slightly depending on who you are and your swimming experience.

Academy Trial Sessions

All trial sessions for swimmers trialling in our Academy are organised by our Academy Lead Coach, Ally Brewer. Our Academy trial sign up process is as follows:

  1. You must fill in this trial sign up form
  2. Our Lead Academy Coach, Ally Brewer, will contact you shortly regarding your trial, you will be asked for any further information necessary
  3. Once a date is confirmed, you will be asked to complete a COVID-19 agreements registration. This includes COVID protocol agreements, a health declaration and information for people classified as high risk of vulnerable.
  4. Once this is complete, you will be allowed to attend your trial session.
  5. On the date of your trial session, our professional coaches will carefully assess your level in the pool, provide coaching tips and assign you to a squad in our structure if you are ready.
  6. If your trial session is successful, you will be contacted with information and links to sign up as a member to the club, our Treasurer, Sue Ashworth, will contact you with this information as well as initial fees for joining the club.

Age Group and Performance Trial Sessions

All trial sessions for swimmers trialling in our Age Group squads and Performance Squads are organised by our Head Coach, Noel Horton. Our club trial session sign up process is as follows:

  1. You must fill in this trial sign up form
  2. Our Head Coach, Noel Horton, will contact you shortly regarding your trial, you will be asked for any further information necessary
  3. Once a date is confirmed, you will be asked to complete a COVID-19 agreements registration. This includes COVID protocol agreements, a health declaration and information for people classified as high risk of vulnerable. One of our administrators will contact you regarding this.
  4. Once this is complete, you will be allowed to attend your trial session.
  5. On the date of your trial session, our professional coaches will carefully assess your level in the pool, provide coaching tips and assign you to a squad in our structure if you are ready.
